Case Study 1

A 50W Halogen Down Lights which consume 65VA can be replaced by Energy Efficient LED Lights of 7.5W.

Let us assume about 100 of these fitting in the show room. Also the typical life for a 50W halogen is 6 month so over 5 years there will have to be 9 replacements of the lamp + original.

Savings in maintenance costs are not included.

Case Study 2

A 70W Metal Halide Street Light with VA as high as 120 can be replaced by a 36W LED Street Light.

Let us assume about 100 of these fitting in the compound. Also the typical life for the lamps is 2 years so over 5 years there will have to be 2 replacements of the lamp + original.
